Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Hotel- Casey Lampert 4th Period

After a hotel was exposed to high levels of carbon monoxide in Maryland, 9 were sent to the hospital. All are now in stable conditions. Eight of the nine people in the hospital were hospital employees, the last was a guest. The gas was detected once an employee started to feel faint, and the hotel was evacuated immediately afterwards.

I thought that hotel's were supposed to have some sort of detector for high levels of gas, if not they should. Carbon monoxide can be poisonous in high quantities and this could've been fatal if it hadn't been for the efforts of the hotel staff. It's awful to think that if they hadn't realized there was a leak in time, a lot more people could've been seriously effected. I hope that everyone recovers quickly.
