Gregory B. Craig, a White House counsel during Obama’s administration, is expected to be charged after his shady work with Russia-aligned gov. of Ukraine. The case against him stemmed from Robert Meullers testimony and report (which still hasn’t been released to the public).
His lawyers expect him to be charged with making false statements to the Justice Department officials who claim he didn’t register lawfully for the work that he did in Ukraine in 2012 while he was a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
The work for the government of Ukraine, was linked to Paul Manafort, who at the time was a political consultant earning tens of millions of dollars for his representation of Mr. Yanukovych.
