Recently the Pentagon's Transgender policy for military service was set to take place. The new policy will demand that transgender citizens who wish to join the army will be forced to identify as their gender from birth, rather than what they identify as. My article explored was about what this means for the transgender community. The pentagon has reportedly said "all persons will continue to be treated with dignity and respect" in my opinion that is the dumbest statement I've heard in a while how would that in any allow for them to be reacted. Identifying them as something they would not like to be seen as is in no way respectful or dignifying, it is rather rude and obtrusive. I hate that our president is such an ignorant man. This relates to history because it goes back to when Truman desegregated the military and now trump has in a way segregated it again. Who know what is next? I believe this is wrong and unacceptable in every way shape and form.
