london climate change protest - will goodell
https://www.cnn.com/uk/live-news/london-climate-change-protest/index.html
thousands are taking the streets this week in london, blocking important buildings like the capitol and it's busiest streets and bridges to raise alarm over over the climate crisis. the british protest group extinction rebellion is orchestrating rallies in over 80 cities this week in over 30 countries, demanding governments to take decisive action on the climate and ecological emergency. so far, 3 men have arrested in the city for suspected damage to public property, following some protesters glueing them selves to some buildings, and smashing windows. climate activists are warning of the catostrophic effect that global extinction of insects would have on our planet. i am so proud of the people, including students who are protesting amid prosecution and backlash, their call for action is making a difference and is better than most politicians are doing.
