Isadora Lilly- Judge asks victim of rape if she tried closing her legs

Following a court hearing with Superior Judge John F. Russo Jr. of Toms River, New Jersey, a court advisory committee cited that he had acted with “emotional immaturity” after having asked a woman who claimed to have been raped if she had attempted to stop the assault by closing her legs. The committee claims his potential repercussions to include suspension without pay for three months.

This reminds me of the 1986 Supreme Court ruling that states that sexual harassment violates Title  VII of the Civil Rights Act. Having been ruled by the Supreme Court decades ago, it should continue to be respected and upheld today in all cases because it is never as easy as simply closing your legs. If it was as easy as closing your legs then sexual harassment would not have snowballed into the immense issue that it is today, in particular with the emrgence of the MeToo Movement, because no one wants to be raped.
