After two employees were arrested in 2018 for allegedly beating a student, in investigative report it detailed decades of abuse at the Glen Mills reform school in Philidelphia. The school began to take action earlier this week and played off 80 employees and has stated that they will continue to do so and will end up laying off about 250 employees by the time they are done.

I find it unsettling to know that these children were abused by people who were supposed to be able to set these kids on the right path rather than scar them. Their families sent their kids to that school trusting that their kids would be in good hands that would give their kids a good environment to learn and grow and they instead had to face abuse and were forced to keep silent about it by the employees there.
