Some polls show parents' growing fears of danger at school'
Many people think the shooting of Columbine HighSchool in 1999 paved a way for the shooting that is occurring now. Polls two decades later shows the concern of parents for their child at school. The fear grew from 2012 where there was a shooting at an Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut. Also from the shooting last year at a HighSchool in Parkland, Florida.
Analysis: This article is written to inform people about school shooting and how it has affected the parents view of their child at school. This article was written on April 17,2019. I think this article is important because people need to be aware that school shootings are still going on till this day. We need to figure out in America how we can fix this issue and policies we can make to improve this tragedy. This article relates to history, because a major shooting in 1999 happened at Columbine HS and school shooting are still happening now. There hasn't been growth from two decades before ,so is this the America we want to live in?
I agree, if i was a parent i would be very cautious of my kids going to school being that shootings are very common today.
