After the White House allowed an FBI investigation on Supreme Court Nominee, they have fought to regain control over the investigation again. President Trump says that the FBI has "free reign", but those close to the investigation have come out and said that the scope of the investigation is very limited. According to those around the investigation, Dr. Ford’s accusation as well as Judge Kavanaugh’s drinking at Yale will not be part of the investigation.
This is very reminiscent of Bill Clinton’s scandal with his secratatry. Though that wasn’t sexual assault, it make the country ask themselves whether they wanted (or needed) a leader with morals, something that is again happening today.

I'm fairly sure that what Bill Clinton did was predatory behavior- like he manipulated and took advantage of the woman, and that caused such a big scandal. The fact that Trump won the election with worse allegations against him shows how our standards have deteriorated. :(
