This article was updated on October 27, 2018 by Dakin Andone, Jason Hanna, Joe Sterling and Paul P, Murphy. Eleven people were killed in a shooting Saturday morning at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Six people were wounded, but thankfully, no children were among the dead. An official has told CNN news reporters that 10 were killed. The suspect has been identified as 46 year old Robert Bowers. Bower made anti-semitic statements during his act. Investigators are focusing on Bower's social media posts on GAB that included targets of Jewish people.
Officers were dispatched at 9 am and a confrontation between them and the shooter followed. 2 police officers and 2 SWAT officers were wounded during the confrontation.
Among the suspect's posts on gab were criticisms of Trump that suggested he was surrounded by too many Jewish people.
Hate crimes as such remind me of the Holocaust. This attack on Jewish people was the worst in history just like this synagogue shooting was the worst in US history. The Holocaust was a mass murder of six million Jews and millions of other people leading up to and during the Second World War. The Holocaust was the most extreme and well-known example of anti-semitism. Anti-semitism date back to Europe in the Middle Ages. Jewish people were denied citizenship and were forced to live in ghettos.

  2. If something could change our legislation or the prejudice in our society, this all could have turned out so much differently.

  3. Sad. I do not get why laws haven't changed. How many people have to die for America to see that guns are wrong?
