Trump’s Tax Cuts Law To Disproportionately Affect Minorities
In the last year, a new tax program implemented by Donald Trump has begun to take effect. This program quite clearly was biased in favor of the upper class, giving much bigger tax cuts to the wealthy than the poor. The program's intent was to gradually lower the tax rate of everyone, thus creating more jobs; however, in practice, this doesn't seem to have had the intended effect. Due to the inequal tax cuts between the rich and the poor, it seems to have little more effect than simply increasing the divide between the rich even more. Most importantly, the tax seems to affect minorities the most, as they tend to be the ones with the lowest socio-economic status
This tax cut represents the ever-persisting problems of racial inequality and wage gaps, which have continued to be a problem in America for hundreds of years. This specific act while relatively minor in impact in comparison to such practices of the past represents an extension of the same processes that have kept wealth in the hands of very few for too long.

Ever since Trump became president there was a big chance that racial problems would begin to pop up.
ReplyDeleteYou made a very important point that our government continues to turn over into a lot of the same people's hands. History is continuously repeating itself and its time to break that pattern.
