Trump Administration Wants to Make It Easier to Release Methane Into Air
The trump administration recently rolled back some policies implemented by the Obamas that regulated the Oil and gas companies' pipelines and methane emissions, as a part of their campaign against climate change activists. They hope that this will save the companies money that had previously been lost under the Obama administration's policies. This decision was made partly because of the President's stance against climate change policies and partly because of industrial companies requesting the rollback of this policy.
This practice relates back to the general success and dominance of big business over all else in American history such as the high level of Capitalistic fervor felt in the late 1900s, as well as the prominence of Robber Barons owning large portions of the American economy. This policy rollback is yet another example of an industrial organization influencing politics. This rollback, while having seemingly minor impact on the climate, is yet a continuation of the trends shown in the Trump administration, and, to some degree, American history as a whole.

I wish Trump could realize the consequences of his actions. This rollback could possibly create a great change in climate that we might not be able to fight against in the upcoming years.
