Late Sunday night 8 people were shot during a dice game in a San Bernardino apartment
complex. Two of the victims are in critical condition and the other six suffered "minor" wounds. There is no suspect in custody at the moment but the police suspect the shooting had to something to do with the ongoing gang violence in the area. Multiple gunshots were fired but none were fired back. There were no weapons left at the site, but "rifles and handguns appeared to be involved". The witnesses did not want to cooperate with police, so what exactly led up to the shooting is still unclear.
It is unfortunate that people are still being effected by gun violence every single day. Just last week there was another shooting in Florida at a location where people are supposed to be relaxed and having fun playing games. But there is still a gun violence problem in this country. Whether you believe in gun reform or not, we as a country have got to come together to make a change for our future.
What has made these massive shootings become so often now compared to when our parents were growing up?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Madison, not enough changes are being made to stop the gun crisis going on in America. As we can see in countries where guns are not allowed no one at schools are being affected and none of the schools have to perform lockdown drills knowing that it could happen anyway.
ReplyDeletethis is a huge issue for our current generation because too many lives have been taken by guns and our government is not doing anything about it
