After all this time of back lash, job lose, and personal opinions. Colin Keapernick has done it again and amazed us by shocking the world with his amazing virtues. After receiving back lash and loosing his job for his controversial knell during the national anthem. Nike them took colin and turned him into even more of a super star and using him for there Nike "just do it" campaign. there was back lash and burning of shoes but Nike is popping in popularity and so is keapernick. This is amazing what equality can do to people.

  1. I personally think that the backlash are people with nothing better to do with they’re time. Also kneeling during the anthem was not disrespectful in my opinion.

  2. I think the whole boycott was more of an outrage reaction but like most of these boycotts people just end up forgetting about them rather quickly and they have pretty much no long term effect

  3. I understand people wanting to boycott even though I personally am not, because people have a right to believe what they want to believe, we can judge other peoples opinions just as they can to us. I don't agree but I understand what they're going for.

  4. Wow, people can be so dumb over the littlest things sometimes. I do really love the company, but it’s about more than that. It’s about the lively hood of people being taken away, discracing people for standing up for things they believe in, wether you agree with it or not. I think people should just have more empathy for situations before they react in a way that could cause detremental damage to companies and all people envolved. ~Mekinna Knight

  5. I'm glad that Kaepernick is getting support, but I think it's important to realize that Nike was not "risking losing everything" with this campaign. They have a deal with the NFL that is set to last til 2028; plus the company owns others not associated with Kaepernick's name. It looks to me like the have their cake & can eat it too.

  6. I remember a couple of weeks ago, I commented on someone's current event on this topic (sorry I don't remember who's) saying that Nike must have a good reason to have taken such a risk as to release the controversial campaign announcement. I think that as a company, they knew that it wouldn't effect them for long (as far as stock goes) and it would also boost Kaepernick's fame, so it was justified in their minds to announce it. The boycotting is just our way of expressing our ideas about the issue, and even though some might think it's extreme, it gets a point across and doesn't deserve that much criticism.

  7. I am personally impresed with how Colin is taking all of this, i don't think him kneeling during the national anthem was disrespectful and he shouldn't of lost his campaigns. Im glad that he is getting the support.

  8. I am happy that the company, Nike, is standing with Colin Kaepernick. I understand the controversy, but believe it was his right to protest against the way our country is turning out. I am glad to hear that other players from different teams are also participating in this movement. I hope that everyone is now aware of the changes that need to be made to make our country a better place. Lily Philips
