Kavanaugh accuser reaches deal to testify Thursday
Christine Ford, who recently accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her during a party in high school, has agreed to testify in court on Thursday, September 27. The testimony will be open to the public, and Ford will be given extensive security, due to her receiving several threats, including threats on her life, after she came out with her story. In order to ensure a fair testimony, she will be interviewed by both Democratic and Republican senators. This accusation and testimony show the continuation of the #MeToo movement which has led to the exposure of countless politicians and celebrities who have sexually abused women. This specific account, however, is of even higher significance, as it could potentially have an extreme impact on American politics. Furthermore, it could stand as a symbol of the Trump administration and what it stands for. Depending on the following reaction of the testimony, it could also potentially drastically impact the public perception of the two parties and Trump administration.

DeleteThis goes along with Trumps decision on putting him as replacement for supreme court. Many protesters were outraged about Kavanaugh and is feeding the line with electing people who morals are not with the citizens. This is in local and state government. It is crazy. Tiya Caldwell
