This article talks about the hurricane Florence, approaching the Carolinas and how dangerous it is. It is estimated to hurt lots of people and the article calls for everyone to take shelter for safety and to stay indoors. Schools are most likely to close and many people won't be at work during this hurricane.
I agree with the article that this hurricane will be very dangerous and that everyone should take shelter and be safe and careful around their surroundings. They should stock up on food so they don't have to leave their house and stock up on house supplies incase of emergencies, and should always have a flashlight, and a radio to stay updated incase the electric goes out.
I also wrote about a hurricane, but one that is making its way to the Hawaiian islands. I think its crazy to be out of school, and for your safety to be threatened by a storm. Luckily we live in Texas so we don't get anything near as bad as those people. I pray for their safety and protection. - Joziah German
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately my aunt, uncle, and cousin live in the Carolinas, but shouldn’t be directly effected. I remember all the hurricanes last year, and it’s scary to think that these are just going to be a common recurrence. Even Texas (Austin and Houston) were effected last year because of flooding. I hope everyone prepares and no one gets hurt. - Sophie Knox
ReplyDeleteI feel that we are blessed to live in just the right place to only be affected by a little rain, rather than having to miss school and risk our lives because of these hurricanes. I am very worried about the future of the affected places, considering these storms have been so frequent and intense.

This article is great example of why it is important to keep up with current events, because sometimes it may help insure your safety in ways you wouldn't have expected.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that whoever is deciding to stay through the storm will be ok.
ReplyDeleteThis is mind blowing. The devastation these hurricanes are bringing to peoples homes and lives is awful. Hopefully the hurricanes will calm and people can start to recover soon. Thankfully we are all extremely lucky to live where we do.
