A military mom spent six long months in Jordan and was not able to see her husband or her two year old son, Bennett. She would occasionally be able to facetime them, but she was very nervous that he wouldn't remember her when she came back. The whole family was at the airport awaiting her return and the article spoke about the heartfelt reunion when the son ran and jumped into her arms.
This article was very emotional and was written for anyone who likes to hear about heartwarming stories. It also made me think about how women are now the ones going overseas in the military, which historically usually was the men in families. It also reminded me that even though our country is not at war, the military still has to go to other countries to help protect and rebuild them. I think that this little boy will be very proud of his mom as he grows up and realizes the sacrifices she made for his country and his freedom.

This is so sweet! This makes me feel so grateful for the people that give everything to protect us so that we can be with our families.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that the family got to reunite and that the mom/wife came home safely. I also appreciate her being in the military to help protect others and sacrifice her life.

Its people like her and this stories that shows the remainder of the good people we have left in the world that is willing to sacrifice everything even family to ensure safety. Im so glad that she came home safely and was able to cherish an amazing moment with her son.
