Fan Bingbing, a famous Chinese actress, has gone missing, and was last seen visiting a children's hospital in Tibet.
She was featured in a multitude of blockbusters, including the X-Men series, around the world. Bingbing is not the first actress to disappear; for example, Katgerine Johnson disappeared in 2012, but she was eventually found. The article was made to inform the world of a beloved actress' disappearance, and to spread awareness and concern for her safety. The Chinese government is communist, and it has reprimanded people for expressing free speech. Some of these punishments have included hefty fines and jail time. As we live in a country with free speech and press thanks to court rulings like the Zenger trial, I cannot imagine what life would be like in a country where associating yourself with different opinions than those of the government would be like. Whether we like it or not, we have to listen to everyone's opinion , but unfortunately, this is not the case in China.

It’s really sad to see this happen. Free speech should be a right in any country. This reminds me of another example of when the government tried to take away free speech- two male reporters were writing about how inhuman the genocide of rohingya Muslims was. They locked them up for having confidential documents (a police guard put the ‘confidential’ doc in the reporters hand the. Arrested him.)
