Daniela Rodriguez- Dallas police officer could face stiffer charge for killing unarmed neighbor, DA says

Recently news has emerged that white police officer, Amber Guyger, might be facing worse punishment for shooting her black neighber in belief that he had broken into her apartment, while in reality she had simply entered into the incorrect apartment in the floor below. This mistake led to the death of her neighbor, Botham Jean. This incident sparks a similarity to those in the history of american crime, where with the small suspicions of an officer, black people have ended up shot and much of the time dead. This event is yet another call to action for the police force to change its approach to apprehending possible criminals to ensure this doesn’t repeat itself like it has for years.
