Brandon Spigner - Protesters arrested trying to Shut down O'hare airport in Chicago over gun violence
Several protesters were arrested on Monday September the 2nd. This protest was over a topic that has been a problem in our nation for a while now: gun violence. Chicago is known for its outrageous shooting rate. This was an attempt to get their message across to end gun violence and also get the Mayor, Rahm Emanuel, to resign from office, because he is "inaccessible" to the people of Chicago.
The article was produced by the USA Today on September Second 2018. It may affect the accuracy because it was published the same day that the event took place so all details may not be in. This article was written for people who want better for the country and want to stay informed about all protest and different issues that others are dealing with. During the 60's this topic of strengthing gun laws was out in the open after JFK was assassinated and i feel this is showing how we are fighting for the same issues our grandparents were. How much has changed?
