At an annual Iranian military parade on Saturday in the southwest city of Ahvaz, shooters opened fire killing at least 25 people and wounding 53 others.
According to reports, four gunmen began shooting at people from behind the viewing stand. There were reports of two of the four gunmen spotted on a motorcycle wearing khaki uniforms before carrying out the attack. The damage was done, and the results were 25 people killed and more than 60 others injured in the attack. After that, two gunmen were killed, and another two were arrested.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif blamed the attack on regional countries well as their “U.S. masters.” This released statement is further raising regional tensions. This adds on to Tehran’s nuclear deal with world powers, in jeopardy, after President Donald Trump withdrew America from the accord.

This article was published September 22, 2018, as recent as this event is, it shows how anyone, not even the people protecting us, will not be safe. These reoccurring events throughout history like the Fort Mystic Massacre, where English settlers under Captain John Mason and Narragansett and Mohegan allies set fire to a fortified Pequot village near the Mystic River, show how people are corrupt and when motivated. This article was made to inform readers who want to stay up to date with current events, specifically this shooting. It tells them and gives them the power to know what's going on, as well as the intelligence to speak out about it.
It's very important with foreign shootings that other nations react accordingly. There needs to be an executive decision made as to who can hold guns in our country, and while I would not wish to contradict American liberation, we've amended our constitution before and it may be time to amend it again.
ReplyDeleteJude Holland - I think trump needs to consider how he reacts to situations like these, as acting out of only his emotion (which he usually does) can produce bad, dangerous results.
