Salah Abdeslam's arrest finally gives France some closure by Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex

Salah Abdeslam was arrested on Friday giving Brussels and the Belgium security services some breathing room. France finally was able to hold someone accountable for the bombings in November. In reality catching Abdeslam is a very small win in the whole scheme of terrorism. Even though it was a small win it still resulted in a terrorist put behind bars. Officials have said that Abdeslam was in the process of planning more attacks. If he cooperates he could reveal important information about ISIS secrets and Intel on European resources.

I think that even though catching Abdeslam was small it might lead to a bigger win for ISIS fighters. Catching terrorists won't happen over night. The small wins are what eventually lead up to a greater win.

  1. The War on Terror is so scary to think about, especially realizing how complex it is for everyone involved against ISIS.

  2. I am glad that they were able to convict someone and I hope that they find even more people who were involved in similar bombings. -Claudia Anthony
