Russia Shows Off New War Vehicles - Lindsey Galvan p.4

Russia showed off their new tanks and other military hardware during practice for Victory Day parade. Russia also will be showing off new aircraft during the Victory Day celebrations. Flyovers will include 140 planes and helicopters, TASS reported Tuesday, after the aircraft made practice runs over Moscow. More than two dozen photographs of the hardware taken during parade practice were also posted on the military's site.

This reminded me of the Cold War between the U.S. and Russia. I doubt this would spark Cold War 2, but I think this would definitely encourage the U.S. to upgrade its war vehicles just as Russia has done.

  1. I agree with you. Russia tends to encourage us to do stuff like in the arms race, we wanted to beat them. I guess we'll have to see if we actually upgrade and we'll know why.

  2. This could be interesting. Though the Cold War caused fear, it did encourage technological advances. So maybe we'll come out of this with further advancements.

  4. This really is no different from the Great White Fleet that America had during the turn of the 20th Century. This is just a measure to intimidate us into further compliance.
