Last Sunday, a Marine was killed at Hawaii's Bellows Air Force Station. The Marine's death was caused by a "hard landing mishap" in an MV-22 Osprey. The cause of the incident is unknown; however, we do know that the Marines were conducting "routine sustainment training." Also on board the aircraft were twenty-one Marines who were taken to hospitals after the event. An investigation is currently under way to hopefully uncover the cause of the incident.
Dana Ford wrote this article for CNN on May 18th. This article was written to inform the public of the tragic event and to update those who had already heard about it. I hope that they are able to discover the cause of the incident so that they can prevent it from happening again. I also find it incredibly sad that the Marine was killed so suddenly in a training exercise.

I agree with you, I find this very sad. I hope that they come up with an investigation to figure out the root of this so that it doesn't happen again.
