In response to investigative journalist Seymour
Hersh’s claims that the White House lied about the real story of the bin Laden
assassination, CNN analyst Peter Bergen has revoked this conspiracy.
Seymour Hersh, a renowned investigative journalist, argued that everything the American public knows about the assassination is a lie. Hersh's claims include that the assassination was a set-up, and that Pakistani military had been holding bin Laden prisoner for several years.
CNN analyst Peter Bergen, in response, argues that the conspiracy is based off of coincidence and misinterpreted facts. He cited communications between the US and Pakistan, and the physical aftermath of the house after the assassination as evidence against the conspiracy.
The article shows a strong liberal tendency,
protecting the Democratic Obama administration and completely debunking the bin
Laden conspiracy. This is logical considering CNN is a liberal leaning news
source, and the author is a liberal leaning foreign policy analyst.
It's interesting to see how there is always a conspiracy theory behind mysterious or unclear events, such as the JFK assassination. Perhaps it is a symbol of our freedoms as Americans that we are able to argue against what it told to us as the truth.
Wow! I agree, it seems like there is a conspiracy theory in many things. We have proven some hypothesis, but there's a lot of things that could be a lie: there's evidence that 9/11 was a conspiracy and planned with the US gov. JFK's assassination was even look at in the TV Bones (my favorite show), showing that it is still seen as a conspiracy and unknown. This is very interesting and does show political and social views
