"Michael Dunn's girlfriend: 'I heard pop, pop, pop' "- Madison Russell

  After a few drinks and a wedding party in 2012, Rhonda Rouer and boyfriend Michael Dunn headed to a gas station for "a bottle of wine and a bag of potato chips." They pulled up next to Jordan Davis' vehicle, which was leaking some kind of loud, (mostly likely hip hop) "thug music". Dunn commented on the matter, saying that he hates "thug music" and went into the store. When he exited the store, Rhonda, who was still in the car, heard 6 gun shots; they were in groupings of three. Michael Dunn returned to their car, and Rhonda spotted him putting a gun into a compartment in the car. 

  He was later arrested. 

While Dunn claims that the gunshots were self defense, and that he, "didn't want any trouble," it is very hard to believe those statements. There is no proof. He could've, and probably did start the confrontation, if there even was one. But then again, there is no proof.
