An 8 year old boy named Tyler Doohan rescued 6 people from a fire in a mobile home in New York. As he got all of those 6 people out he went back in to save his grandfather, who was like his best friend. The fire had traveled to the back of the mobile home and they both died from the heat and smoke. The grandfather was disabled and that was why Tyler wanted to save him. The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but firefighters are saying that they want to put fire alarms in all of the mobile homes. This story is very touching. You don't hear very often that a young boy saves many people. This boy was a hero because he wanted to save others before himself. Even though the boy passed away at least he passed with someone he loved and as a hero.

It's so sad that he had to die so young. I'm sure those family members he did save are extremely grateful to him and can carry on his memory as a hero.
