KATEY GUINN "Woman jailed for not returning 2005 video rental" by Doug Gross

Kayla Michelle Finley from South Carolina was arrested for not returning a rented VHS tape, "Mother-in-Law" form 2005. She spent one night in jail on a misdemeanor charge last week. The charge was brought up to attention when Kayla was at the sheriffs station on a different subject when Chief Deputy Creed Hashe found the warrant issued back in 2005 from Dalton's Videos. Kayla spent the night in jail because her bond would not be put up until the next morning, which happened to be $2,000. When she got out of jail, her reason for not returning the movie was that she and her husband moved out of state and he completely forgot about it. I bet he feels bad! "I'm no criminal, but Pickens County Sheriff's office sure made me feel like I was," she wrote.
I think this is so incredibly stupid! There are worse things than forgetting to return a movie. I think they wasted a lot of time on this "pressing matter" and could have been attending to something more important like a murder or a robbery. Wow
