KATEY GUINN "Dancing in the aisles: Meet New York's urban acrobats" by Sheena McKenzie

             The new dance crew, WAFFLE ( We are family for life entertainment) is a crew that performs inside the subways of New York. They are not to be confused with break dancers because they are not just break dancers. They are "Lite Feet" dancers. They are a group of 15 dancers who dance on the poles of the subways. They say they are "Part time strippers," to get peoples attention and to make them laugh. The only thing they usually take off are their hats for tips. They have mixed break dancing with acrobatics and ballet to form their style of dancing. But the closest style of dancing that is similar to theirs is the Charleston. Everyone has their own opinion on their dancing choices. This is how they make a living. Some people on the subways find it irritating while others find it fascinating. "My main goal is to get off the train and work with more people, I want to bring Lite Feet to the world" said one of the crew members
