A group of Nazis, Vanguard America, posted flyers around the SMU campus supporting their white supremacist group while degrading other races and ethnicities. Their group believes that the United States should be an "exclusively" white nation. Since around February, this group has been posting flyers around many other colleges. People are trying to find the men that did this and try to stop them.
This is a terrible situation that there are still people out there that degrade all other people than the ones that look or act like them. This was a problem starting a long time ago during World War ll and we do not want that to happen again. You would think that in our society today people would have accepted everyone by now but there are still some people that don't see that and it's disheartening. This article, written by Paul P. Murphy, is to show that people are still out there being racist and dehumanizing others and they need to be stopped.

I wrote my current event about this as well! I think this whole issue is disgusting and Twitter should've taken down their page earlier. I hope they find out who the men are who posted the signs.

ReplyDeleteOkay, honestly even though I hate the situation just as much as the next guy, technically, did they actually do anything wrong from a law stand point? Like i don't hold on to a world where everyone thinks everyone is equal and there's no racism and we all hold hands and stuff. I just think that's unrealistic. Someones gonna be racist, thats not new and will probably never go away. In fact, we may all be a little racist. What I find disgusting about these Nazis are that they act upon these terrible thoughts. But then again, they are Nazis, that is what they do.
