summary:
About 10 minutes into President Barrack Obama's remarks against Trump a protestor interjected and the crowd resulted to booing. As Obama tries to calm the crowd down, many people continue to bash the republican supporter and start to chant Hillary's name. When Obama finally gets a hold of the crowd he tells them that the man is only practicing his freedom of speech and that instead of bashing against him people should go out and vote.
analysis:
It was truly beautiful to hear the president defend this man and to let people hear themselves and how they interact with each other. Today, we are faced with a lot of opposing ideas and sensitive subjects that incite many people. To hear Obama try to make the audience see the man's point of view and to justify his actions is a wonderful thing, especially during this tense election period. Obama influencing the crowd can be compared to Thomas Paine's "Common Sense," where he influenced the colonies to fight for freedom instead of better treatment.

This shows the true character of President Barack Obama. Instead of showing hate towards the man, he instead stuck up for him and defended him. He is the model president and he will truly be missed in office.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! It's very rare that you hear anything remotely nice about this election, so to see President Obama do this is awesome. And he's not even running, so it's not like he needs to appear nice to the public. He did that just because he thought it was right.
ReplyDeleteI love Obama! Why does he have to leave? It's so sad to see this man leave with these wonderful sound morals, and be replaced with one of the jokes.
