Summary: With flu season now coming into play, more research is being unveiled about the sickness. Researchers have studied that the year you were born might be connected to the type of flu you are most infectious and immune to. “From our first childhood experience of being infected with influenza A, our body remembers a protective immune response to employ.” Since the research is particularly new for this study, there is still some things that would need to be tested to help support this theory. Surprisingly some other scientists have found this pattern to be very accurate and now in case of a pandemic people could be more prepared by knowing what sickness would affect them most. Dating all the way back to 1918 they can infer what flu viruses would be most dangerous to you.
Analysis: This article was written to interest people on this study and inform them for any future sickness from the flu. Having experienced friends with the flu while I don’t have it makes me interested to why this might be. I was unaware of the different form of the flu and I thought it was interesting how certain aged people react different to specific ones. Anyone who feels like maybe they can prevent from getting sick this flu season, would want to read this article and possibly learn something they don’t already know. The 1918 Spanish flu pandemic synthesizes to this article because it killed over 200,000 people which showed that people were very uneducated on how to help with healing those from the flu.

I was also unaware about the different forms of flu! I had the flu when I was younger and it was the worst. Hopefully people take the right precautions to not become ill.
