Justices Look for Reasoning Behind Texas Ban on Confederate License Plate Madana Kloss 4th
The Department of Motor Vehicles in the state of Texas rejected a license plate displaying the sons of Confederate Veterans with the Confederate Flag. The rejection of the license plate began a controversy whether Texas had violated the First Amendment. Some people believe that if we allow this "Confederate License Plate" then it will be fine for those who support Hitler to have a license plate with a Swastika. I can connect this with US History and our study with the civil war.I know that the confederate flag was used to support slavery and that some people remember that and find the flag offensive.
This can be found very offensive. But if Texas can do well without this license, we might as well keep doing what we're doing.
