25 years on, Tiananmen barely known to China youth
Analysis: In this article it tells of this college student who had no idea of the rallies that were going on in protest of his hometown Beijing. What I think about this is how can this guy who lived there for 25 years not really know what was happened in his own city. I really can're believe this story and how he didn't find out about until he went to go to school in England and a fellow student showed it to him. It makes me wonder if there are other people who are living without knowing what is really going on in their own country and how they would react.

This is astonishing
ReplyDeleteWe are fortunate to live in a country where it is illegal for the government to keep information similar to Tianaman Square, from the public. And, even if the government does break this law, their breech will become know because of our freedom of the press. The condemnation that prospective violators know they will receive if their actions were to be discovered by the public, keeps them obeying the law. I am thankful for these freedoms.
