Surprise Welcome by Valerie Coahuilas

A 13-year-old teen battling terminal cancer at a hospital in Salt Lake City returned to her hometown of Kanab, Utah, where she was given an incredible welcome by the residents there. Jayci Glover has been fighting a form of terminal lymphoma for about a year now when her parents decided she needed a break from the hospital and back to her hometown located five hours away. When the family arrived, they were presented with a wonderful surprise. Many of the town's residents gathered with hand-made signs welcoming the young girl home. The welcome was very unexpected but overwhelming and amazing, says Jayci.

This is very encouraging for the young teen. I think that she will be happy living in her home town.

  3. That's incredible. Hospitals are such a depressing environment. Hopefully being in a familiar place will help her in her fight.

  4. I love it when a community rallies around a person in support. I think that that can be such a healing element in anyones recovery but especially hers. I hope she gets better and healthy soon!
