Murder trial to begin after man shoots teen following loud music spat Ilana Lemack
A Florida man fatally shot a 17-year-old African-American teenager. The man claimed he shot in self defense, but authorities found no evidence of guns in the teenagers car. The case is garnering international attention not just because of the similarities to the case of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman, but also because the prosecutor in the case is the same: State Attorney Angela Corey. Dunn (the gun man told police that he asked Davis (the teenager) and three other teens, who were parked next to him a0t a Jacksonville gas station, to turn down their music. The killer said he heard threats from the teens and saw a gun in their car. Police say that they found no guns inside the teens' vehicle and that Dunn fired his gun eight or nine times. Dunn has been charged with first-degree murder in Davis' death and also faces three counts of attempted first-degree murder for shooting at the three others in the car.
Okay...this guy has pleaded not guilty...that's crap. If the police did not find any guns in the car then there obviously wasn't a gun in the car! This guy is crazy. To kill a teenager for playing music too loud? Hopefully he'll get locked away.

This is a little extreme, especially over such an innocent subject such as music. This man deserves his time in jail.
ReplyDeleteI actually heard about this on the news and thought it was a little crazy. I hope that there is a thorough investigation and justice is served.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this man took his actions to the extreme. It was not necessary to shoot and kill someone just because their music was too loud. He could have easily drove away if it was annoying him that much.
