Jorge Olvera
Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan On Medical Marijuana: “I Support States’ Rights”

Paul Ryan is asked, "What do you think about the legalization of marijuana?" He simply replies with the best answer. "Let the people decide this November." Other people like Mitt Romney disagree. He says that it is a gate way drug and causes a lot of contraband between the U.S and other nations.
I completely disagree with Mr. Romney. Alcohol used to be considered a drug and illeagal in 1920 through 1933. They're has been more reports made on people who were under the influence of alcohol than marijuana. Any arrest of citizens that involved marijuana are positions and distributing. If we legalize it than a majority of the problems will stop. Than by passing this law their will be rules! Which means under aged individuals will have a harder time getting it. Over, all WE THE PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE THE FINALE SAY!

  2. Although marijuana has proved to be a gateway drug, a lot of its appeal lies within its prohibition. With its legalization and regulation, not only could its usage decrease, but crime rates would most likely be decimated. Assuming the legalization of all other drugs, dangerous drug cartels would cease to exist and result in a much more peaceful global existence, and governments would flourish with the revenue produced by the newfound industry.

Paul Ryan's statement, however, only referred to medical marijuana, and therefore doesn't quite address all the issues that go along with the broader illegal trade and use of marijuana and other drugs.

  3. I mean i can see where you're coming from but you also.have to see what it does to some people. Like acting "loopy" (a nice way to put it) and like people who can't control themselves and do it ever two hours can do things to them and eventually doing things they'll regret.

  5. I agree with Jorge because overall marijuana is the safer drug than alcohol. And in my opinion it is only a matter of time until it is no longer prohibited just like alcohol. If something is going to be legalized, shouldn't it be the safer substance?
