In this article I read that on this Jewish Holiday, Rosh Hashana, in Miami Beach they decided to have a different kind of service. Instead of having the Rabi talk to the people for the entire time, they choose to have them join in with the service. They told them to text some responses to personal questions that some people may not want to say aloud. Such as...
"What is one thing you wish you had done differently this past year?"
"Text the names of ailing loved ones who needed prayer"
Apparently the children and adults really enjoyed it. I personally think that this is a great idea, and that they should expose this to other church's and religions. It would really help some shyer people to contribute to the service.

This method seems pretty cool and rather interesting! Wish churches would do more of that like once a month.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty neat idea! It's very 21st century meets religion. It's a great idea and I think it will draw in more teengaers to practice their religion. I think incorporating new technologies into religion is a smart thing although some might disagree and want to stick to the traditional ways of practicing religion. But we've got to face it, times are changing. I mean, you can even have a Bible App instead of having a legit tangible Bible these days. It makes things a lot easier and I think it will attract more people into practicing religion.
