Isadora Lilly- Gatlinburg SkyBridge
Set to open on May 17 at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the Gatlinburg SkyBridge. The Gatlinburg SkyBridge will be North America’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge. Pedestrians will have the opportunity to walk across the bridge, 700 feet long and 150 feet above the ground, including a glass portion of the bridge which allows visitors to look below at the nature surrounding them.
As this bridge shows off the beauty of a National Park in the U.S., this reminds me of the conservation efforts of Theodore Roosevelt during the 20th century. Roosevelt worked to conserve forests for continued use, and established 230 million acres of land during his presidency.

Emma Burkey: The description of the bridge sounds truly remarkable and I can't wait to see pictures of it. I think this will bring more people to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and hopefully raise awareness on conservation.
ReplyDeleteThis bridge sounds like a very cool idea. I hope this brings recognition of the need to take better care of our environment and our home while appreciating nature. Lily Philips
