Wrinkles in its crust and moonquakes are caused by he moon shrinking over time according to NASA. The moon's brittle crust breaks , since the moon's interior has cooled over time since it doesn't have tectonic plates . This rules out the possibility of asteroid impacts or rumblings from the moon's interior . The moonquakes started happening more after the first moon landing , which it has also caused the moon to increase temperature do to humans walking or driving a rover , turns up darker moon dust called regolith and darker colors absorb more light.
