Senator Mitch McConnell recently proclaimed the Mueller report as 'case closed' and that everyone needs to move on and focus on events that matter. McConnell points out the clear divide between the House Democrats and republicans and tells them that they are only doing Putin's job for him. Many were outraged many and even some Republicans said they would still like to hear from Mr. Mueller. Nancy Pelosi offered a statement saying that with all the evidence laid out infant of them, the questions they asked were for the wellbeing of democracy. Republicans disagree and side with the President saying that the case is closed and that everyone should move on.
This article was written on May 7, 2019 by Catie Edmondson. Before hearing of this incident, I had heard of the release of the Mueller Report and how many people were not happy with certain aspects of it. This article relates to the 2016 Presidential elections and the speculation surrounding it. This article could cast a negative light on people both Democratic and republican because both sides have such drastically different points of views. This does help McConnell's argument that we need to move on, but on the other hand we need to focus on the Mueller report and its unanswered questions.
