San Marcos Officer Fatally Shot While Serving Arrest Warrant
A San Marcos police officer was fatally shot Monday afternoon while attempting to arrest a man on a warrant. San Marcos Police Chief said that officer Kenneth Copeland, 58, was shot when he and a bunch of other officers were ambushed in the El Camino Real subdivision. Today was his day off, and he worked about everyday off to provide for his kids.
This is very sad, especially because he has kids. Gun control should really be fixed, because way too many shootings happen on a daily basis. It is also sad that he is a police officer, and was just doing his job when this tragic event happened. My heart goes out to his family, and that they will be helped by their friends and family during this time of need.
Yes me too! This is a very harrowing story because this man was issuing a warrant which is a very small matter of business, and that turned into a shooting.
