Summary:
Recently, a man was arrested on Sunday in North Carolina because he walked into a popular pizza restaurant and began firing an assault rifle. The strange thing about this is his reason for doing the action because " he had come to "self-investigate" an election-related online conspiracy theory involving Hilary Clinton. But, on the bright side no one was injured. His name is Edgar Maddison. The restaurant and all of its staff were secretly put on a chain of events centering on fake news stories to Clinton. The owner of the pizza store named James Alefantis says that he could get messages on his Instagram like "we're on to you" and he said that him and his employees were " real people caught in the middle of a storm of fake news." As threatening messages have been happening to another business around the block that are tied to the conspiracy.
Analysis:
This article written by Greg Toppo on December 5, 2016 talks about the issue of the election and how they are effecting people. I already knew that many people from around the country have been revolting and rebelling against the election but, in protests and rallies. But, no with harming other people with guns. I don't see a point in causing so much distress to so much people, if they had little to no-partake in the election. Why would you try and kill someone even if they weren't the issue? I believe this article was written to show everyone's different voice and opinion on the matter of the election and what different types of people there are in America. The article relates to the Dallas shooting that happened recently. With someone killing innocent people even though they weren't part of the matter and the shooter only worsening the issue.
