A new trend has gone viral on Instagram and Twitter, the #MannequinChallenge in which students literally just stay still while Rae Sremmurd's new song "Black Beatles" playes in the background. Of course, high school students aren't the only ones participating. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Milwaukee Bucks have joined in. It's believed that the challenge started at Edward H. White High School in Florida in late October, and as of now, there are over 50,000 videos on Instagram of the #MannequinChallenge.
Analysis: Wow i gotta say this is one of my favorite trends ever because everyone's coming up with such unique ways of posing and location. There's another thing going around, the Andy's Coming "challenge". Basically, someone yells ANDY'S COMING and everyone drops. But we all know that this won't last long and that pretty soon we'll move on to other trends, but let's enjoy it while it lasts.

I really enjoy watching these videos of the challenge. During lunch today some people were trying to do it in the cafeteria but it didn't really work. We should try to bring not challenges to our school.
ReplyDeleteThis brings up a topic that's interesting of how humans tend to easily become distracted by something and move on after a short while to something else.
