synthesis;
this article was written Monday October 31,2016 by Susan Scutti for CNN's health section.The author seems to agree more with removing the devices from the teens sleeping area. I don't know if i completely agree with this, yes they do affect our sleeping patterns but if we shouldn't have to remove them completely.  Sometimes it isn't even the teens fault of how much homework he or she has to do and has to end up staying up late for that matter.

  1. I can see their point . Kids these days are more likely to stay awake looking at something on their phone. I do it all the time

  2. I partially agree with the fact that my phone will keep me up at night, but that's part of growing up and balancing responsibilities.

  3. Kiri Luckey: I have heard of this before! I partially agree as well because when your phone is by you when your trying to sleep you get distracted from your sleep and want to be on your phone because your addicted to it. But then not all people get distracted that easily or really addicted to their phones like others.

  4. This is actually proof for how some people feel. When theyre on their phone its harder to fall asleep. Also id like to mention how apple has created the night shift which could help it not make us so awake.

  5. As for me this is very true I stay up looking and scrolling through my phone sometimes for too long of a time:(. For a situation like this self-control is key and is something I really need to work on.

  6. I think computers, cell phones, tablets etc. contribute a lot to how late teens stay up at night. As everyone knows time seems to pass quickly when on these devices.

  7. I have heard this multiple times from my parents, but unfortunately that knowledge doesn't really stop me. It's my choice to endure the consequences of being sleep deprived and then make the choice again before I go to sleep.

  9. Many nights I feel quite overwhelmed by homework, and feel the need to sacrifice sleep in order to complete it. On nights like those I will intentional leave night shift off in order to use this phenomena to my advantage.

    Mostly kidding of course...
    Mostly...
