Gray Breidenbach:
My article discusses the drought the Chicago Cubs have faced for 108 years of no World Series. It was truly one of the greatest moments in baseball history. Now the Cleveland Indians endure the longest standing streak without a World Series. The Cubs went for 10 long innings, and a 17 minute rain delay in Indian territory, to win it 8-7 over the Indians. this year was a great year for the Cubs, they had 103 games in the regular season and then crushed it at the World Series.
This is like the perfect game that was tossed in 1956 by yankee pitcher, Don Larsen. these are amazing times when america bands together to see two teams battle it out in a ball game. I, honestly, love seeing any sport take place because to me, sports is bout unity. Although the two team are pitted against each other, they are still courteous when the other team wins. they put on a show for all people to enjoy.

I believe the sportsmanship and support that the nation has for each other in terms of competitive sports is really good, and I'm glad that they can celebrate this victory!!
