Janet Reno, the first female attorney general, has died from parkinsons disease at the age of 78. She served from 1993 to 2001 under the Clinton White House. Bill Clinton commented on her passing, saying, "I was deeply saddened hearing of the news, she was an extraordinary public servant who dedicated her life to advancing justice, equality and innovations in criminal justice." Many substantial cases occurred during her tenure such as the Oklahoma city bombing and the 51 day Waco siege. Janet Reno also appeared in many popular culture medias such as SNL and The Simpsons. Janet Reno was a very influential woman in American Politics.
Janet Reno impacted the political climate for decades. She has set the stage for future attorney generals and shown how to be a well respected and productive elected official. This could be connected to Madeleine Albright, who was the first U.S. secretary of state, could be connected to this because she was a maverick in the cabinet and set the playing field as a woman in politics. They also were the first female in both of their positions and will be remembered for decades in American Politics.

Jada Brown - I think its sweet that the Clinton's had such a close relationship with this important woman, and that she wasn't just someone who worked under them.
