Three Year Old Boy Shoots Father and Pregnant Mother By: Zaria Chambers

Over the weekend in Albuquerque,New Mexico a three year old shot his mother and father in their hotel room. Police officers are saying that the little boy got ahold of the gun by taking out of his mothers purse. He then pulled the trigger causing the bullet to strike his father and then his mother in the shoulder. Both the mother and the father were rushed to the hospital and their wombs were treated. There was also two other children in the hotel room but they weren't injured. The children were put into the hands of the Children's Youth and Families Department.  

 

This is a very frightening situation, I'm glad that no one was killed because the situation could've been a lot worse. Parents need to be more aware of where they hI've or put weapons especially if they have young children. This gun was in the mothers purse which is crazy and it shows she isn't very concerned about the safety of her children. This is can go back to gun laws and who should be able to purchase guns, not saying that this couple shouldn't have been able to purchase a gun they should've just been more caution with it.
