Jeep Recalls - Kennedi Mayes

Jeep has recalled 230,000 Grand Cherokees  after finding out there is a malfunction with the technology controling the airbags. The airbags in some of these models have been deploying without any serious trauma occurring to the car. There have been reports of the airbags deploying after rough driving. The new models are supposed to make this problem less likely. The models affected were the 2014 and 2015 models and owners of the vehicles will be notified.

I'm glad they fixed this issue and notified the public. Imagine your airbags going off after randomly hitting a hard speed bump.

  1. This is relevant to me, because everyone in my town drives a jeep. Many of my friends just got new Jeep Grand Cherokees so I hope that Jeep will fix the problem. It is good that they are taking action and ensuring the safety of their customers.

  2. This situation also happened with many Japanese made cars last year. It had to do with the maker of the air bag that was installed in the car. if ti were to be the same air bag company making mistakes again, there could possible be many other car brands with the same malfunctions.

  3. This can be related to Henry Ford's creation of the assembly line: a technology that is still used today to build automobiles. Hopefully the company is able to fix this problem.
