Immigration is what made the U.S, it is also what makes our country so unique. So when the Emergency Quota Act of 1821 prevented entire populations of certain countries to stay put, this created a flawed system. Today President Barack Obama has taken that corruption to the table and intends to correct it. Obama's Immigration plan is to stop illegal immigration at the source, the border. With some illegal immigrants already in our country's school system, work buildings and neighborhoods it is hard to deport those who have tried to make America their home. So instead of uprooting families, he will weeding out the felons. His idea is that we make America a safer and more prosperous country, not a country of prejudice and hate.
How is this step in Immigration different from past laws concerning the topic?
