Classroom Reflections On America's Race Relations (Daniel Alcorta 4th)
In Peter Maginot's sixth-grade class, the teacher is white, but all of his students are black. They're young and they're concerned that what happened to Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Eric Garner could happen to them. They questioned why these men were killed if they had no weapon, some were in their teens and another was defenseless.
Things have gotten so out of hand that children are beginning to worry for their lives and are afraid of government officials and officers. These events have been brought to the attention of children and it shouldn't be a bother to kids at their age. This could generally relate to the violence between the colonist and the British that lead to the revolutionary war.
